Ten year old Amanda desperately wants a dog but her Dad won't have it. When she finds a young fox, she and her friend Maggie conspire to keep it as a pet. Little do they know the trouble awaits as the fox is pursued by a pair of shady, bumbling Russians with an ulterior motive.
This installment looks at the dogs who have starred in Disney films, past and present. The program ends with a preview of the upcoming theatrical film The Shaggy D.A., in which host Dean Jones just happens to star. The program also features a song called "Hollywood Hound", written by Al Kasha and Joel Hirschhorn. The program reaired in 1981, updated to promote The Fox and the Hound. Another version was released on home video overseas in the 1980s.

Raja Saheb (Ashok Kumar) is a rich man, strict father to sons Virendra (Sunil Dutt) and Mahendra. One day, Mahendra has a big fight with his father and dies of shock afterwards. Virendra leaves home and falls in bad company with Pran. Later, Virendra falls in love with a poor girl (Nutan), eventually deciding to marry her. At home, a lonely Raja Saheb falls ill. When Virendra tells his father about his love, his father reveals his own past: He was in love with a poor girl, who died leaving a daughter (Padmini) behind, who dances on the roads to earn a living. Virendra decides to bring his sister home.

In his enthusiasm, he accidentally rings the dike bell causing the town to think the dike is leaking. When the fraud is exposed, Pluto and Dinah are kicked out of the town. Upon leaving, they both notice the dike actually has sprung a leak. While Dinah plugs the leak, Pluto must return to the town and find a way to get the residents to follow him to the dike leak.
